The Smart Classroom Project research group was born out of the necessity to rethink the learning spaces needed to implement new educational methodologies, enhance learning experiences, and offer physical and emotional well-being to those making use of them. Smart Classroom Project uses scientific research, based on participatory processes engaging the educational community, to provide answers about what these changes should look like. The research team takes a three-dimensional approach to learning space design:
• Environment: focused on students and their teachers (well-being and learning).
• Teaching: focused on learning principles grounded in scientific research.
• Technology: focused on learning and the sustainable and "invisible" presence of technological resources.
