Nodes is a Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) research group studying contemporary social challenges from a transdisciplinary perspective, with three main areas of interest: communication, education and urban planning.

Our work is based on a critical approach, taking into account the intrinsic relationship between ontology, epistemology, methodology and ethics, designing research projects centred on participation and co-creation.

Diversity: Examining various aspects of diversity, gender and the processes of visibility and invisibility, social inclusion and exclusion, with a focus on their role in modern urban, educational and communicative dynamics.

5 - Gender equality 10 - Reduced inequalities

Ethics: Analysing educational, urban planning and communication practices from an ethical perspective, paying particular attention to the configuration and social impact of technologies.

4 - Quality education 11 - Sustainable cities and communities

Policies: Investigating the role of public policies and political and social movements in the fields of education, urban planning and communication, to understand their impact on the processes of transformation and social change.

10 - Reduced inequalities 16 - Peace, justice and strong institutions

Imaginaries: Exploring the role of discourse, media, design, visual culture and urban maps in the constitution of social imaginaries and practices.
