Design, implementation and assessment of telemedicine services to improve treatment and people's quality of life and the efficiency of healthcare services

Telemedicine offers healthcare services when the patients and the healthcare providers are in different locations, via the use of information and communication technologies (ICTs). The main goal of telemedicine is to improve the health of individuals and communities by exchanging digital information that can be useful for various purposes, including disease prevention, diagnosis, monitoring, treatment, health provider education and research. However, its use in daily clinical practice is still limited. It is essential to identify its limitations, find ways to overcome them and create a reasonable structure to implement and use telemedicine services successfully.
